SUMMIT COUNTY — An escaped Northern Ohio inmate has been captured. Jason Lyle Conrad was arrested at approximately 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, Summit County Sheriff Kandy Fatheree said in a news release. Surveillance officers and an Ohio State Highway Patrol airplane spotted Conrad attempting to flee near Aqueduct Street in Akron, and pursued him to the area near the intersection of Arlington Street and N. Forge Street where he was taken into custody, according to Fatheree. On Tuesday, deputies were transporting Conrad to Summa Health in Akron.
